CHN Regulations for Jewelry & Accessories

GB 28480-2012, the first mandatory jewelry and ornaments (except jewels and jades) standard, has been effective on May 1, 2013. This standard specifies requirements for various types of non-precious metals jewelry and ornaments (except jewels and jades). For precious metal jewelry, harmful substances are restricted in another mandatory standard GB 11887-2012 “jewelry-the purity provisions of the precious metals and naming methods”. Two standards regular toxic substances in all metal jewelry, and the heavy metals and the limits are the same in them.
