EU, USA and Canada have established rapid alert systems to facilitate the rapid exchange of information andmeasures taken to prevent or restrict the marketing or use of products posing a serious risk to the health and safetyof consumers. Notification in 2018 report 08 on Textile & Leather products from China is presented in the followingtable. There were total 35 notifications in August with 17 notifications from China. Notifications of products fromChina mainly involve girl's bikini, boy’s shorts, girl’s jumpsuit, children’s jacket with injury and strangulation risks,children’s jacket containing excess AZO, and girl’s sandals containing excess Phthalates.
