Regulation (EC) No 850/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council (3) has been substantially amended several times. Since it is necessary to make further amendments, that Regulation should be recast in the interests of clarity. On June 25, 2019, the European Parliament issued the new POPs Regulation (EU) 2019/1021, replacing(EC) No 850/2004, and will enter into force on July 15, 2019.
(EU) 2019/1021 revised some definitions, such as ‘placing on the market’, ‘article’, ‘mixture ’and etc.

Annex I (List of Prohibited Substances) has also been updated as follows:
POPs Regulation AnnexI Prohibited substances listed in the Prohibited Substances List shall not be used for manufacturing, placing on the market and for substances, mixtures orarticles if they do not comply with the relevant exemptions.
