Collection on notifications of China products in the report 37 of RAPEX

EU has built up a specific mechanism to notify products violating relevant regulations and standards for the sake of consumers. In the report 37, there are 45 notifications on products from China, including 3 toys, 2 electrical and electronic products and 12 children’s clothing and others.

Notifications on toys include risk of chemical, electric shock or microbiological. Measures taken to these products are ban on the marketing or voluntary withdrawal.

Notifications on electrical and electronic products mainly report the risk of accessible live part or fire. Measures taken to these products are voluntary recall.

Notifications on children’s clothing show the risks of injury or strangulation. Measures taken to these products are ban on the marketing or compulsory withdrawal.
