Israel to revise lead and cadmium food contact standards

Israel is revising its mandatory standards for the release of lead and cadmium from products that come into contact with food. The revision concerns permitted limits for the substances in food contact materials, as well as associated test methods.

Proposals have been submitted to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
