The European Commission has confirmed that it will come forward with proposals to restrict five substances under RoHS 2.0 by the July 2014 deadline.
The 5 kinds of new proposed restriction of substances are hexabromocyclododecane (HBCDD), the phthalates DEHP, BBP, DBP and DIBP. The Austrian Environment Agency (UBA) has published risk assessments for four of the substances, but the DIBP is assessing by Germany Öko Institut.. The European commission plan to complete the task at the end of April, 2014.
