Toys and Children's Products Safety (Additional Safety Standards or Requirements) Regulation was published in Official Journal of Hong Kong (L.N. 17 of 2014) recently. Requirements to the Concentration of Phthalates in toys and children's products are specified in this regulation, as well as identification markings and bilingual warnings or cautions on toys and children's products. More details about the restrictions are showed in Table 1.

More than one part of the toy or children's product can be placed into the mouth of a child under 4 years of age | The total content of the Class 2 phthalates (DIDP, DINP and DNOP) in those parts of a toy or children's product must not exceed 0.1%. |
