EU publishes guidance on active and intelligent food packaging

The European Commission has published new guidance on active and intelligent materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.

The document is designed to support the implementation of Commission Regulation No 450/2009 governing such materials, which includes packaging designed to absorb oxygen and liquids from the food environment.
