EU extends restriction of DMF in consumer products

The interim restriction Directive 2011/135/EU of DMF will expire on 15 March 2012.

On 28 January 2012, Decision 2012/48/EU was published in the Official Journal of the European Union to extend the validity of the interim restriction of DMF.

1. Shall not be used in articles or any parts thereof in concentrations greater than 0.1mg/kg.

2. Articles or any parts thereof containing DMF in concentrations greater than 0.1mg/kg shall not be placed on the market.
