On 18 June, 2012, ECHA published the updated candidate list of SVHCs, containing the 7th batch of 13 SVHCs. But the total amount of SVHCs is 84 in total, because the entries of aluminosilicate refractory ceramic fibres (Al-RCF) and zirconia aluminosilicate refractory ceramic fibres (ZrAl-RCF) included in the List in January 2010 and December 2011 are consolidated in the entries from December 2011.
Producers and importers of articles containing any of the 13 SVHCs in the new Candidate List have six months from 18 June 2012 to notify ECHA by 17 December 2012, if they meet both of the following conditions: (1) the substance is present in those articles in quantities totaling over one tone per producer or importer per year and (2) the substance is present in those articles above a concentration of 0.1% weight by weight.
As a professional third party test body, CTT remind you to key close eyes on the updated candidate list of SVHC so as to avoid loses caused by violating relevant regulative requirements.
