California sued 16 jewelry companies to bring new legislature

Recently, California  has filed a complaint against 16 companies providing jewelry containing high level of lead in California. Some of those toxic jewelries were labeled  with “Lead free” or “Lead free Nickel free”, etc. These will pose great impairment to human body and mislead consumers in a result of exploring consumers to toxic articles. Although, this is only a court case, we have to take consideration of California taking new action to bring this case into legislature in advance.

For the sake of yourself, jewelries exported to California shall meet the requirements under federal regulation, California Proposition 65 and relevant standards. California Proposition 65 stipulates restrict limits on lead, cadmium and phthalates that may exist in jewelries and fashion accessories, as well as requirements on labeling.
