EU has built up a specific mechanism to notify products violating relevant regulations and standards for the sake of consumers. In the report 39, there are 31 notifications on products from China, including 2 children’s products, 7 electrical and electronic products and 5 clothing, textiles and fashion items.
Notifications on children’s products include risk of strangulation and chemical. Measures taken to these products are ban on the marketing or compulsory withdrawal.
Notifications on electrical and electronic products mainly report the risks of electronic shock and injury. Measures taken to these products are withdrawal from market and recall from end users.
Notifications on clothing, textiles and fashion items show the risks of injury, strangulation or violation of AZO dyes limit. Compulsory measures taken to these products are ban on the marketing, withdrawal from market or recall from end users.
