Recently, Danish EPA release a research information on PAHs in toys and children’s products.
The Danish EPA has examined 20 toys and products aimed at children and found that all of them contained polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). The level of these substances in most of the products was extremely low and the EPA suggested they could not be reduced further.
However, a bicycle tire and the handles of scooter contained higher concentrations of PAHs, according to the EPA.
