EU has built up a specific mechanism to notify products violating relevant regulations and standards for the sake of consumers. In the report 38, there are 34 notifications on products from China, including 2 children’s products, 1 electrical and electronic products and 6 clothing, textiles and fashion items.
Notifications on children’s products include risk of strangulation and injuries. Measures taken to these products are ban on the marketing or compulsory withdrawal.
Notifications on electrical and electronic products mainly report the risk of electronic shock and fire. Measures taken to these products are compulsory withdrawal.
Notifications on clothing, textiles and fashion items show the risks of injury, strangulation or violation of Cr (VI). Measures taken to these products are ban on the marketing or compulsory withdrawal.
