17 Dec. 2012, ECHA released a new on its website to announce that 23 substances of very high concern have been unanimously identified by Member State Committee (MSC), 3 of which have been regarded as strong respiratory sensitizers and given rise to an equivalent level of concern to those of other SVHCs like carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic for reproduction (CMRs).
These 23 substances together with 31 further substances without the need to involve MSC evaluation are to be included in the update of Candidate List. And the total 54 new SVHCs will be published on the ECHA website this week later.
To include the 54 ones, the number of SVHCs in the Candidate List is up to 138. As a professional third party test body, CTT reminds you to keep close eyes on the phasing in move and get well prepared to tackle this changing.
